Approach
What?
Inspired by the improvisational nature of Berlin’s art and music scene, and my family's love of jazz, this project is a journey of how jazz can be visualised.
How?
From a typeface, to collages, posters and animation, this body of work was created from listening to a series of jazz tracks. I listened to each song and created works based on how I depicted each musical composition through colour, shape and words that came to mind.
Why?
Jazz music to me is very evocative and eclectic, and I wanted to try to capture this visually to pay homage to the genre’s colourful and bold sound.
